Help! We do not charge so players can join in regardless of their financial circumstances. Unfortunately, the rest of the world is more ruthless, and it cost around £100,000/year to run the club – pitches must be hired, equipment bought etc.. We survive by our Patrons making generous donations, applying for grants and sponsorship. If you have already contributed this season then fine but if not, and you can afford to, please help – especially if you, or your child played. Donating is a delightful experience – just click the button:

Kensington Dragons Results W/E 10th April 2022

Just a handful of games took place as the Dragons enjoy half-term.

The Firsts narrowly lost 2-3 to Stonewall at home. After a solid string of good results, the Dragons’ efforts to maintain their winning streak were scuppered against a belligerent Stonewall. Regardless, the Firsts put on a resilient performance, linking up well and scoring good goals. It is on to the next fixture as the Dragons prepare to go on the road to Clapton.

The Blues played a friendly against the Old Dragonians.

The U11 Boys beat Princess Park 1-0 at home. This was a tight, hard-fought match where the Dragons did well to score in the first half and then tenaciously defend their slender lead. There were attacking moves from both sides, but it was the single goal that decided the match.

The U12 Boys were beaten 0-2 away at Harrow St Marys. Despite a good performance, the Dragons were just overcome on the road in this mid-table clash. The Dragons will come back after the Easter break with a spring in their footballing step.

The U13 Boys drew 0-0 with Brook House away in the League Trophy. While a nil-nil draw sounds boring, this game was everything but. Despite Brookhouse having beaten the Dragons twice in the league this season to gain promotion, the Dragons were all over them in the first half and created chance after chance. On another day, the Dragons would have been 3 up by half time. Brookhouse were lucky not to concede. The second half was more even but still open, leading to a nerve-wracking ending. Ultimately, a draw was a fair result.
