The Reserves drew 3-3 with Hackney away

Hackney scored an early goal from a corner with the wind assisting the ball into the net. Shortly afterwards the referee gave another corner, despite the Hackney strikers already retreating for what should have been a goal kick. The resulting corner picked out the big hackney striker who thumped in a header. The Dragons regrouped at half time and came out with all guns blazing. After a series of long throws into the box the pressure finally told as Hackney and Dragons defenders clashed in the air to put the ball into Hackney’s net. The Dragons didn’t hang around and their centre midfielder soon after lobbed the keeper from just inside the box to make it 2-2. The Dragons kept pressing and were rewarded when a Hackney defender flew into a challenge in the box catching the Dragons centre back and, despite the Dragon not going down, the ref deemed it a dangerous challenge. The Dragons striker calmly slotted in the resulting penalty kick. The Dragons felt the job was done, took their foot off the gas and were punished when a Hackney corner lead to a 3rd goal. The misery was compounded when the ref blew for full to make Hackney goal the last touch of the game.
