Finally most matches are being played:

The Firsts drew 2-2 to Camden & Islington away. Spirit is key for a successful team and to be a Dragon you must have it. After going 0-2 down against a team pushing for promotion, a new young Dragon came off the bench and lead the way with an impressive strike and a towering header to earn the team a spirited point.

The Blues lost 1-2 to FC Sunbury at home. The Blues played an excellent first 45 minutes and by the half time break were leading 1-0. FC Sunbury must have had a scathing team talk as they emerged into the second half revitalised and robbed the Dragons of the win.

The Old Dragonians lost to DAR United 2-4 away in Round 3 of the Roger Perry Cup. The Old Ds exited the Cup despite a spirited display to take an initial lead but were undone by penalties – incredibly the Dragons were on the wrong end of three given by a ref who some would argue was not having his best day. With two of the penalties VAR would have lead to them being overturned but that’s football.

The U18 Boys beat Acton Ealing Whistlers 4-1 at home in the Premier Division. The Dragons were brilliant and on their best behaviour as they mostly controlled the match. One would never guess that it is the very same team who wobbled a couple of weeks ago. The Dragons are now back in peak condition.

The U16 Boys lost 1-3 away to Acton Ealing Whistlers. The Dragons lost this tight game due to general rustiness as they have not played much in the last 8 weeks due to terrible weather and unplayable pitches. The Dragons need more game time under their belts.

The U15 Boys beat FC Starz 4-3 away. The Dragons played well and dominated the game but were in danger of letting the initiative slip away as FC Starz grew in confidence as the match progressed. Suddenly the FC Starz appointed ref blew the whistle and ran off – to the toilet? Who knows? But the match was over with the Dragons having won. The FC Starz parents were left fuming – they pay £900/year to play and expect to win.

The U14 Boys lost 0-3 to Pinnstars away. The Dragons played well but it was one of those days where they just could not find the back of the net. To finishing practice this week before they go again.

The U13 Boys Red beat Belmont Bees 7-3 at home. An ultimately commanding win from the Dragons who were expected to beat a struggling Belmont side. It puts the Dragons in a good position to chase down the League leaders – can they finish in the top three one wonders?

The U13 Boys White lost 0-1 to Bessingby Park at home. The result does not reflect the Dragons’ performance as this was their best of the season against the League leaders. After conceding a goal within the first 5 minutes the young Dragons went on to dominate but missed numerous chances which, had they been taken, would have seen them win the game comfortably. The challenge now is to maintain this level for the remainder of the season and remember to bring their scoring boots.

The U12 Boys beat Pro FA 5-1 away. The Dragons won on the road with a convincing performance, with the scoreline blemished only by conceding one themselves. The Dragons scored with five different players showing how the whole team contributed.

The new U11 Boys lost 2-3 at St Josephs away. A hard-fought loss in which the Dragons acquitted themselves very well. Despite a tough end to the first half, the Dragons were dominant in the second and were unlucky not to have found an equaliser with encouraging performances all across the pitch – including a penalty save to keep them in the hunt.

The U10 Boys trained in preparation for the League.

The U12 Girls lost 0-3 to Wealdstone away. It was a good first half from the Dragons who played with high tempo and desire. They started the second half in the same manner but the clock got the better of them as the Dragons tired in the last 20 minutes, allowing Wealdstone in.

The U14 Girls lost 0-2 at home to Regents Park in the QF of the Cup. After weeks of postponement due to the weather, the Dragons Quarter Final was finally played. It may have been due to the long drawn-out anticipation that the Dragons could not find a reply to Regents Park’s brace. Still a very commendable journey in the League Cup competition.

The U15 Girls had no game.
