The Seniors are on a roll with all three teams winning decisively:

The Firsts beat Ruislip Rangers 4-0 away in the Middlesex FA Intermediate Cup. After a week off, and some hard work at training, the away win was well-deserved. Although 4-0 sounds comfortable, it took hard work to show the Dragons’ quality and outclass Ruislip. Next weekend it is on to the Premier Division Cup to get back-to-back wins!

The Blues beat Indian Gymkhana 7-0 at home. With the Dragons goalie unable to play at short notice some fans were a trifle worried, but all was well. The Dragons took control to  pile up yet another hefty win

The Old Dragonians beat Old Southall 4-1 at home. A big first League win for the Old Ds who also retain their unbeaten start. The Dragons will want to keep their momentum going as they host Ryefield at home this coming weekend.

The new U10 Boys narrowly lost 1-2 to SYS at home. The Dragons were all over their opposition but just could not finish their chances when they arose.

The U11 Boys beat Kick Up 2-0 at home. A controlled Dragons performance, helped by some excellent saves, ensured the new U11s continued their unbeaten start to the season. The Dragons pressed well from the front and stifled Kick Up’s strong attack making sure then took their own chances as they arose. A mature performance that belied their young years.

The U12 Boys won 3-2 on penalties against Harefield United to progress to the next round of the Middlesex Trophy. The Dragons quickly established themselves and scored within minutes – but Harefield came back to equalise before half-time. In the second half both teams woke up. This should have been the Dragons’ game with the number of corners they won but they kept on hitting the woodwork! Harefield scored twice to keet their hopes alive and onlooker’s hearts pumping. It was on to penalties. The Dragons held their nerve to move onto the next round.

The U13 Boys Middlesex Trophy tie against Harrow St Mary was not played as Harrow could raise a team.

The U14 Boys Red beat Wealdstone 1-0 at home in the Middlesex Trophy. A good win for the Dragons that puts them into the next round. They could have done with extending their lead and putting a bit of breathing space between them and Wealdstone, however it was not to matter by the final whistle.

The U14 Boys White just lost 2-3 in the Middlesex Trophy to Pinner United. Playing a side two divisions above them, the Dragons tried with all their might until the very last minute. They even had some great chances to equalise and perhaps take the initiative, alas this time around there was no upset.

The U15 Boys Middlesex Cup match against London Athletic was not played.

The U16 Boys lost heavily away to Parks FC in the second round of the Middlesex Cup. The Dragons did exceptionally well to arrive in force at this far off ground in Enfield, having first threaded their way via a factory estate which caused momentary confusion. Parks are a good side and attacked with gusto straight from the start. The Dragons initially held them and then incredibly nearly scored three breakaway away goals to almost turn the footballing tide. Parks upped their tempo and proceeded to score more goals than the average Dragon would find desirable. The match was a good, tough lesson for the Dragons who will only win their Division if they learn to withstand the better teams.

The U17 Boys were beaten 1-4 at home to Ruislip Town. While the Dragons still look to get their season going, the performances they are putting in mean that the results will swing their way eventually. Even the greatest teams have sticky patches, and the Dragons know they just need to keep training and playing for each other.

The U13 Girls lost at home to Gunnersbury Eagles in the Middlesex Cup – but can be immensely proud. What a great first taste experience of 11 a-side football for the team. Every player gave their all and made positive contributions which will help them grow and get even stronger for the rest of the season. Great energy, great attitude – bring on the next game.

The U16 Girls and the U15 Girls did not play. The U11 Girls trained in preparation for the League.
