Astute mathematicians will notice that we are scoring more goals than we concede –our next challenge is to share them around where most needed:

The Firsts beat Harrow United 5-3 away.  This was a disjointed performance from the Dragons which made for a slow start and long day. The Dragons conceded twice to dig themselves a hole that they then needed to climb out of.  Their spirit, ability and, crucially, hard work did saw them find a way out but they must do this from the start – not after being 2 goals down.

The Blues beat AFC Heathrow 7-4 at home in the Quarter Final of the Combination Cup. The teams went into the break with the game poised at 3-3. The Dragons then turned up the level, punishing Heathrow more times than they appreciated. It is now onto the Semis.

The Old Dragonians beat Maida Villa 2-1 away. This second versus third in the League produced a hard-fought game where the Old Ds had to dig deep. The Dragons snatched the winner in the closing stages to grab a vital three points and stay in with a chance to win the division.

The U16 Girls beat Limehouse Laces 14-0 at home. A massive win for the Dragons who were already 8-0 up at halftime. There was some very good football on display and some amazing shooting worthy of Goal of the Season.

The U15 Girls beat Brent Schools 4-3 at home. This was an important win for the Dragons who managed to narrow the gap between themselves and Brent, staying in the race for second place in the division. A seven-goal thriller may have been nerve wracking for onlooking fans, but the Dragons came back from behind to take all three points.

The U13 Girls lost away at Islington Borough. A tough game but the score doesn’t reflect how the Dragons played against a team that won Division One last year. The Dragons’ attitude, physical strength and passing ability were all great positives – they were just unable to get their shots off in the final third of the pitch. A big shout out to the Dragons’ keeper whose incredible contributions saved a larger Islington win.

The New U11 Girls trained in preparation to start the League.

The New U10 Boys beat Pinner United 9-1 at home. The Dragons delivered a dominant and confident performance from start to finish, controlling possession and setting the tempo early. Sharp passing, strong defending, and clinical finishing kept the opposition under constant pressure throughout the match. There were standout contributions across the pitch, with goals coming from multiple players and solid goalkeeping at key moments.

The U11 Boys beat Pitshanger 2-0 at home. The Dragons grew into the game slowly, with neither side able to find an opening. In the second half, the Dragons displayed maturity beyond their years to patiently probe the Pitshanger defence, eventually breaking the deadlock a few minutes before time. As the saying goes, you wait all game for a goal and then two come at once – a long-range strike sealed the deal for Dragons.

The U12 Boys drew 0-0 to Northfields United at home. The Dragons welcomed Northfields United knowing their opponents sat just above them in the league. NU started strongly and dominated possession throughout the first half, but despite their control, they were unable to convert chances into goals. The Dragons responded with a more positive second-half performance. Several improved efforts tested the Northfields defence but found no breakthrough, reflecting a tightly contested game.

The U13 Boys home game against Northfields United was cancelled as Northfields could not field a side.

The U14 Boys Red beat Wealdstone 2-0 at home. The first half was slow with good saves from the Dragons’ keeper to keep it 0-0 by halftime. In the second half, the Dragons upped their game to play well, with their centre back scoring the first and shortly after firing in a screamer to double the tally.

The U14 Boys White drew 3-3 with Hilltop away. This was the worst pitch the Dragons have played on all season by a mile. Hilltop were direct, had 3 corners and scored 3 goals. The Dragons dominated possession and tried to pass the ball through the puddles. Although the Dragons created numerous chances, they missed too many. Fortunately they snatched a draw by scoring with the last kick of the game, much to the frustration of Hilltop whose response and subsequent actions were noted by the referee.

The U15 Boys beat Ealing United 2-0 at home. A great performance from every Dragon from start to finish. The managerial team were delighted to see what they have been practising in training being followed through into the match. A Solid team effort and huge improvement.

The U16 Boys lost 2-5 to 360 Talent away. This was a much better performance from the DragonsThe Dragons attacked 360’s goal to the end. The goals against the Dragons were “unfortunate” – the tone was set with 360’s first goal – the whistle blew; the match stopped; a 360 player nonchalantly pushed the ball into the Dragons goal. To everybody’s surprise the referee awarded the goal despite realising that the first whistle was blown by another referee on the adjacent pitch! Unfortunate.

The U17 Boys lost 1-2 to Wealdstone at home in the League Trophy. After an impressive run of wins and form, the Dragons suffered their first defeat since November after working so hard in the League. Despite Wealdstone being in the division above, the Dragons gave them a run for their money and were close to being the victors themselves.
