Summer seems a lifetime ago as the clocks go back leaving the Dragons to push on despite all:

The Firsts drew 2-2 in normal time to Jolof Sports at home – and then lost 3-4 on penalties to exit the Alec Smith Premier Division Cup. Dominating is not enough at this level, and going 2-0 up against a top three team doesn’t mean your mistakes aren’t punished. These small lapses have a big impact. The Dragons will now have to beat them in the League.

The Blues beat OHM Sports 9-1 away in a great win. After a chaotic start the Dragons took it up a gear to end the first half 2-1 up. They restarted with an increased tempo and scored a whole bunch of goals, including a brilliant hat-trick and a well-deserved man of the match for a Dragons forward.

The Old Dragonians lost 0-4 to Ryefield at home. A tough game for the Dragons whose unbeaten run so far this season came to an end.

The U17 Boys beat St Joseph’s 4-2 away. This was the Dragons first win of the season and the resulting three points were well deserved. After weeks of toil with little to show for it in the League, nerves were high as the final whistle crept closer. The Dragons kept working hard and pulled through to win

The U16 Boys beat Regents Park 8-0 away. There was mild trepidation amongst Dragons fans who feared that their previous week’s defeat might dampen confidence – especially as this was an early morning away match in the depths of north London. In the event however the Dragons turned up cheerful, on time and ready for the match. It was a depleted Regents Park side who wobbled. The Dragons scored quickly but then took time to add another whilst Regents Park threatened to score from break aways. The Dragons natural superiority gradually showed through and at half time it was 4 – 0 and full time 8- 0 in a pleasing show of symmetry.

The U15 Boys lost to Hendon at home. This was a disappointing performance from the Dragons who played well until Hendon scored their first goal. Rather than galvanising the Dragons, the adversity oddly affected them the other way. The Dragons know they must learn to handle going behind differently in future.

The U14 Boys Red beat Super Skills 8-4 away. Another affirming win for the Dragons who knew they should pass the Super Skills test against a team which has yet to win this season. The Dragons had to work hard. A 4-0 score would have sounded better – they know they will have to shore up their defence before they meet better oppositions.

The U14 Boys White beat Acton Ealing Whistlers 2-1 at home. Top of the League, unbeaten and looking good for the Dragons. The only way is up? The Dragons have to look to the next game and stay grounded, but otherwise they are the team to beat at the moment.

The U13 Boys beat Hanwell Town 9-0 at home. The Dragons dominated from the opening to closing whistle, working harder and running faster to get to every first ball. An all round great performance.

The U12 Boys had no game.

The U11 Boys beat Northwood Youth 4-1 away. Everyone chipped in to help these young Dragons to yet another win. It was a true team performance with goals and top performances from the bench to underline the great work done by the starters – including, of course, a hat-trick from their striker.

The new U10 Boys had no game.

All Youth Girls teams did not play and rested whilst it was Half Term.
