A victorious weekend for many Dragons in glorious sunshine:
The U16 Boys played a friendly in preparation for the League Trophy Cup beginning next week.
The U15 Boys beat Ickenham 4-2 at home. This was their last league match – it is now on to the Trophy Cup. The Dragons have developed marvellously since the season start. Ickenham are difficult to beat – in the previous leg they had been trailing 1-3 but then came back to draw. This time around they were equally determined but thwarted by the clinical Dragons who only created six goal scoring opportunities but converted four. As the Dragons Coach said “This was an ugly match – we did very well to dig in and win”
The U14 Boys narrowly lost 2-4 away at Celtic. With only nine players, the Dragons took to the field against a well-organised Celtic team. Adapting to a new formation to compensate, the Dragons fought with great spirit throughout and at 2-3 almost drew level. This was a brilliant Dragons performance, to almost triumph in the face of adversity. The Dragons was clapped off by the parents and coaches from both sides.
The U13 Boys clinched a 3-2 victory over Brook House away. This was a stellar team performance where every Dragon played a part in scoring three good goals. After going 0-1 down against the run of play, the Dragons showed great character to pull a goal back with a 30-yard screamer. The second half continued as the first with high pressing and excellent play. Despite conceding a penalty late on, the Dragon’s had enough daylight between them and BH to win.
The U12 Boys beat Old Actonians 2-0 at home. The Dragons put on a superb show and bagged two goals in the second half and kept solid at the back for the clean sheet. The Manager and Coaches were impressed with the collective effort as the squad continues to improve.
The U11 Boys beat Spartans 1-0 at home. A solid performance and a deserved win. The Dragons worked hard, created chances, and earned a clean sheet. The Dragons have progressed as a team this season with morale at an all-time high.

The U16 Girls won 4-1 away at Limehouse. This was a comfortable and necessary win for the ferocious Dragons who are in the League’s top four. The squad work hard during matches. The effort at training this week will be in preparation for their huge Cup Semi Final against close rivals Highbury Wolves on Saturday.

The U13 Girls were beaten away by League leaders Barnet Nightingales. This was a tough game for the Dragons against a very competitive opponent. Despite beating Barnet in the past, the Dragons couldn’t find the same form, with the current dip in performance down to player availability.

The Firsts and the Blues did not play.
The Old Dragonians were beaten away by Richmond Saints. The Old Ds had a tough fixture against a side that got 4 over them in their previous encounter. This was a better Dragons performance and an improvement on the previous score line. The focus now is to this weekend’s Cup Semi Final.
