The weather may be a little miserable but the Dragons are mostly firing on all cylinders:

The Firsts had their Anagram Records Trophy tie postponed to this coming weekend where they will face Larkspur zRovers.
The Blues beat AFC Heathrow 4-3 at home. This was a tough game. The Dragons were in control for most of the match but in the last 10 minutes the game became chaotic making it hard for both teams. Heathrow scored a late equaliser and with 3 minutes left the Dragons managed to score the goal that provided the win. Exciting!
The Old Dragonians lost 2-4 away at Hillingdon Stags. Sometimes teams play well but come across a keeper who has his day of days – Jim Montgomery for Sunderland in the ’73 Cup Final; Jan Tomaszrwski for Poland in the ’74 World Cup Qualifier vs England. Add to that list must be added the Hillingdon Stags keeper in this 2025 league match v the Old Ds. He single handedly stopped the Dragons securing a win by pulling off great save after great save.
The new U10 Boys beat Hanwell Town 9-2 away. What an amazing game. Another win in the bag for the Dragons – their passing, teamwork, and determination were incredible. The cherry on top? A perfect way to celebrate their coaches’ birthdays.
The U11 Boys beat Pro FA 6-3 away. The Dragons won a high-quality game, thanks to a first-half hat-trick from their rampant striker, who went on to bag another in the second half. Pro FA grew into the game and put on late pressure, scoring well-taken goals. The Dragons’ speedy wingers, however, gave them the outlet to relieve the pressure to continue their unbeaten season.
The U12 Boys beat St Joseph’s 6-0 away in the third round of the Middlesex Trophy. After a short postponement due to a waterlogged pitch last week, the Dragons came out firing and within five minutes they struck first. St Joseph’s battled hard, but the Dragons dominated under the winter sun. Two more goals followed before halftime, despite slippery, dewy conditions. St Joseph’s again showed spirit in the second period, only to concede an own goal. The Dragons pressed on relentlessly, adding two more to seal the win.
The U13 Boys beat Harrow St Marys 12-0 away. One short of a baker’s dozen. The Dragons won comfortably after – believe it or not – a shaky start. A quick change in formation proved to be the key.
The U14 Boys Red just lost 2-3 at home to Pinner United. This was such a close game that the Dragons were sore to lose it. They pressed right to the final whistle, contesting everything against the well drilled Pinner but alas they could not quite score at the least an equaliser.
The U14 Boys White beat Headstone Manor 2-0 away. The Dragons travelled to Headstone to secure a solid win, earning themselves a clean sheet in the process. Having played a couple of games more than some below them in the table, every point and goal is vital to keep them competitive into the New Year.
The U15 Boys beat Pinnstars 3-0 at home in an unsatisfactory match. Some of the Pinnstars are, to put it mildly, unpleasant with inevitable consequences.
The U16 Boys were beaten away by Headstone Manor. Headstone were marginally the better team on the day but the joy, or misery, of football is that small differences between teams make a big difference cumulatively over a match. The underlying challenge for the Dragons is to develop resilience.
The U17 Boys narrowly lost 2-3 away at RC Lens. The Dragons have raised the bar in terms of expectation because of players ability. While they lost to the best team in the League by a cricket score at home earlier this season, to dominate this away game for long periods away was a huge improvement. To not win was unlucky, to not get a draw unfair, to lose was harsh! The RC Lens coaches praised the Dragons’ improvement that had made them sweat for the whole game.
The U16 Girls had no match.
The U15 Girls drew 2-2 to Brent Schools away. Ultimately a very good point for the Dragons away The result keeps them well in contention for top two as they and Brent both try to reign in the runaway leaders Regents Park.
The U13 Girls lost away at Gunnersbury Eagles. The first half was one to forget for the Dragons who were the making of their own misfortune. The second half however saw a different team emerge onto the pitch. The Dragons showed renewed hunger, with great passing and defending. Due to their bad start however, it sadly wasn’t enough to turn the result around.
The new U11 Girls trained in preparation to start the League.
