This was a good weekend with many teams getting used to winning:

The Firsts beat Larkspur Rovers 2-1 away in the Anagram Records Trophy. This was a slightly odd situation as Larkspur asked to play their home match on the Dragons pitch which is what happened. The Dragons performance was a little disjointed but resilience, effort and attitude – plus some undoubted talent – pulled the Dragons through to a deserved win and moved them onto the next round.

The Old Dragonians beat Kodak Harrow 5-2 at home. The OD’s were little depleted but regrouped to pull through for yet another win. This season has, so far, proved to be a great improvement on last season

The Blues match away against Feltham Town was called off.

The U13 Girls beat St Joseph’s Tigresses 4-2 away. A rousing and determined performance by every player helped the Dragons get back to winning ways. Despite players having to play out of their favoured positions, teamwork lead to the win.

The U15 Girls beat Alexandra Park 3-1 at home in the semi final of the League Cup. The U15s have done very well to keep going despite the odd setback and deserved to reach the Final. Having the novelty of substitutes cheered the whole team up.

The U16 Girls lost 1-4 at home to Most Wanted in the League Cup. It was fun whilst the cup run lasted so it is now back to the league

The U10 Boys were awarded an automatic three points as Ickenham could not raise a team.

The U11 Boys were awarded an automatic three points as St Josephs could not raise a team.

The U12 Boys beat Brook House 6-0 at home. The Dragons secured a commanding victory despite a shaky start in the rain. Early play was disjointed, but they soon found rhythm and went into halftime with a confident 3–0 lead. Brook House threatened with a few dangerous breaks, forcing some brilliant saves from KD’s goalkeeper. The boys stayed composed and their persistence paid off with three more goals in the second half. A resilient performance that turned a soggy start into a sparkling finish.

The U13 Boys away game at Northfields was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The U14 Boys Reds away match against Celtic was called off as their pitch was deemed unplayable – with unconscionably short notice.

The U14 Boys White just lost 1-2 at home to Hilltop. What a frustrating result for the Dragons. Buoyed by last week’s fantastic away victory, the Dragons huffed and puffed but could not blow their opponents away. Despite dominating possession, they couldn’t create enough clear cut chances and were punished when the visitors were given a dubious penalty. An own goal then sealed their fate.

The U15 Boys lost at home to West Drayton. Sadly, this weekend, the Dragons forgot their training and could not compete against an organised and lively West Drayton team. One to dry off from, learn and build on.

The U16 Boys had no scheduled match.

The U17 Boys beat St Joseph’s 5-2 at home on the LCS grass centre pitch. This was a close match for much of the first half with the score remaining 0-0 almost up to half time before the Dragons scored two quick goals. The outcome was then never in doubt.
