With the shortest day behind us we can look back on the first half of the season with quiet satisfaction. Much has gone wrong of course but, importantly, more has gone well. In particular our new pitch has proved a great success. The challenge now is to build facilities starting with WCs and then changing rooms, club house and stands. They will all have to be funded but that is a challenge for 2026. In the meantime, let’s all have a rest and recharge our batteries so that we return to the fray in January in peak condition.
