The Soccer School was a huge success. As Tony said at the final Press Conference:
“Our Soccer School was aimed at younger boys and girls who want to be Dragons next season. Over the five days the players worked hard and were a pleasure to be with. The numbers increased every day despite the heat”.
The players were delighted to be awarded their Completion Certificates to recognise their achievement:
There was no charge for joining the Soccer School as everybody should be encouraged to get out in the fresh air, have fun and exercise – regardless of their financial circumstances.

The 2026/27 Season will prove to be another momentous step towards greatness so we trust all our players are keeping themselves in peak condition. It will not be long now before we are back into a dismal wet winter squelching through mud on away pitches – actually that sounds quite appealing in this heat.
Summer Book Tip: “Ireland’s Call” by Stephen Walker published by Merrion Press. This book tells the dramatic stories of players and athletes who were household names and who swapped the sportsfield for the battlefield. Many of course never returned.
