First Team take the points with classy second half display

Imperial College Old Boys 1 V 3 Kensington Dragons

At this stage of the season Dragons are now trying to find some consistency in play and results as they are interlinked and ICOB provided a good test for some questions to be answered. A poor start from Dragons disturbed the Management Team and the poor passing, movement and communication were soon punished as two players went for the same ball and gave the hosts a simple lead. Things progressed as the half continued for Dragons but they were unable to level things by half time and some words had to be said.

With the message still ringing in the ears of the players, a good move on the left found Geoff Nalu Moso one v one in the box and a mistimed challenge meant a spot kick and a chance for Tom Madden to restore parity which he calmly did and commence the onslaught.

The pressure Dragons were applying did not amount to a break through and a couple of subs freshened things up and a slick six man passing move down the right allowed Nalu Moso to side foot from close range. The next goal would then be all important and a rare chance for IC from a corner saw a header crash off the bar. The warning signs were there and another corner suggested a possibility for IC but brave goalkeeping from David Hills set off a counter and in seconds, Dragons were playing the ball across the six yard box for Madden to grab an easy second and secure the points. Now Dragons search for the next win against a team they are yet to beat in Pitshanger Dynamo.
