The First Team secure another vital three points

Kensington Dragons 3 v 1 Pitshanger Dynamo

This would be a second test for Dragons in as many weeks against a team they could not beat last year.  The start for Dragons could not have been better as they raced to a two goal lead. Having the more impressive start, a spell of Dragons pressure led to a corner and a great delivery by Seymour Scott evaded everyone to end up in the net. The game had settled into more of a contest but with Dragons still the more dominant side, a weaving run from the forward into the box was cut short by the defender and Tom Madden took great satisfaction in making it two nil from the spot. Pitshanger were not going to lie down though and gave the impression that the first goal after the interval was going to be important. As was expected in the second half the away team really went after a goal that would get them back into the game but Dragons were well organised and held strong against all attacks. This was by no means one way traffic as Dragons looked the most likely to score on the counter attack. In one of those counter attacks Geoff Nalu Moso was fouled on the edge of the box and once he dusted himself down executed a pin point free-kick over the wall to make it three. With the away team still believing, Dragons were forced to defend until the end and though the referee awarded a dubious spot kick it would be no more than a consolation and robbed Dragons of a deserved and illusive clean sheet. three points none the less!
