The Firsts have had a flurry of fixtures whilst the season has almost drawn to an end for most teams. One might be forgiven for wondering whether the season should have been extended to make the most of the better weather and to have had a longer break over Christmas/NY period where it was often wet and miserable.

Stop Press: The END of SEASON PRESENTATIONS will be on Sunday May 18 at the Linford Christie Stadium.

The Firsts beat Shepherd’s Bush 2-1 at home in a local Derby.  The Dragons went ahead early on, soaked up intense pressure and intimidation, but stood tall to secure the win.

The Firsts then lost 1-2 away to Hayes and Hillingdon and then, two days later, on a late Monday night, drew 2-2 to Stonewall at home.

The Blues and the Old Dragonians had no games.

The U15 Girls beat Enfield Town 4-0 away. This was a great game despite the warm weather which slowed the match down as the heat rose. The Dragons deserved all three points.

The U15 Boys just lost 0-1 to Academy at Home. This was a very close match and either side could have won when, thirty seconds from the end, Academy scored. An exciting match but a suckerpunch for the Dragons.

The U12 Boys lost 5-6 away on penalties in the Semi-Final of the League Trophy to LJJ Frontiers. The game was brilliant with both teams fighting for silverware. By the full time whistle it was two goals apiece and onto penalties. For all the heart the Dragons played with they deserved to be in the final, but it was not to be.

The U11 Boys beat a touring side from Dublin 1-0 at home.

All other Youth Boys and the Youth Girls teams had no scheduled games. The U10 Boys trained in preparation for the League.
