Results W/E 4th May 2025

The END of SEASON PRESENTATIONS will be on Sunday May 18 at the Linford Christie Stadium

We are hurtling to towards the end of the season:

The Firsts, in the Premier Division, narrowly lost 1-2 to Jolof Sports at home. In their final game of the season, the Dragons played well against JS who were battling for promotion. Back in January the two teams drew to earn the Dragons an invaluable point. This time around JS were more determined to stay in the top four.

The Blues were beaten 1-4 away at Wiseman West. Despite the result, the Dragons played well. With a full squad the outcome may well have been in the Dragons favour.

The Old Dragonians had no game.

The U14 Girls beat Ealing Trailfinders 3-2 on aggregate in a double header. As one of the few Dragons’ sides still with unplayed League games, all eyes were on this Saturday fixture.  The Dragons lost the first leg 0-1 before recovering in the second to soundly beat ET 3 -1 and win on aggregate across both matches.

The U12 Girls lost away at Islington. The Dragons started well, holding top of the League Islington at bay for the first quarter. The Dragons then made 6 mistakes that led to 6 goals against them and the game slipped away.

The U15 Boys lost away to FC Starz. The Dragons played fantastically for the first half of the first half to score twice before one could say “The Dragons are a great team”. They then played rather less well for the remaining three quarters of the match to lose heavily. One hopes that one lives and learns.

The U16 Boys lost at home to Celtic. The Dragons had a bad day at the office against a strong Celtic side who were relentless in front of goal. Celtic ate the division’s champions with only one loss all year and the Dragons’ struggled to inflict their second loss. Overall this has been a reasonable season for the Dragons and they can hold their heads up high.

All other Youth Boys and the Youth Girls teams had no scheduled games. The U10 Boys trained in preparation for the League.
