The dismal winter has receded into dim memory as the sun shone on the Dragons:

The Dragons came FIRST in the Grenfell Projects Fund public vote.   A total of 10,864 individual votes were cast by local residents who were asked to rate which local charities deserved to be supported from the 80 charities who initially applied to be supported by the Grenfell Fund.

The Firsts drew 3-3 to Larkspur Rovers at home. With some Dragons observing Ramadan, players from the Blues team were given the opportunity to play in the Firsts. They acquitted themselves well, playing with typical Dragons spirit. The Dragons worked hard to come back from 1-3 down and earn a well-deserved draw.

The Blues and the Old Dragonians had no games.

The U16 Boys beat Harrow United 3-2 away. Away to Harrow was never going to be easy as the Dragons look for a strong finish in the League. The Dragons conceded two goals from corners but in open play were on top, pulling one goal back by applying constant pressure on the Harrow goal. Going into the second half it was more of the same, attack after attack, and eventually the Dragons got the equaliser and then chased for the winner which they got in fabulous fashion from a thunderous shot into the roof of the net.

The U13 Boys Red just lost 2-3 to Marylebone FC away in the League Trophy. This was an end-to-end, competitive game played to a high standard. The Dragons fought hard right up to the dying seconds to find an equaliser but it did not come.

The U13 Boys White lost 1-4 away to London Eagles in the League Trophy. The Dragons could not find their usual rhythm and thus succumbed to defeat to the Eagles who are a division above them.

The new U11 Boys, U12 Boys, U15 Boys and U18 Boys all had their games postponed. The U14 Boys had no scheduled game. The U10 Boys trained in preparation for the League.

The U15 Girls beat Alexandra Park 4-2 on aggregate over a double header. The high-flying Dragons once again beat over two legs their old adversaries AP. With silverware still on the table this season in the League Cup, the Dragons know that they must sustain their form and – importantly – keep scoring goals.

The U12 Girls lost 0-2 at home to Islington. A tough game against the top team in the League. The Dragons kept them at bay and had a couple of great chances to go ahead but were unable to capitalise, and in the last 15 minutes made two mistakes leading to Islington’s two goals.

The U17 Girls and U14 Girls had no games.
