U14As squad unlucky to lose out at Rangers

North West Rangers 3 v 2 Kensington Dragons U14A

Kensington Dragons started eagerly and had at least 5 shots on goal within the first 5 minutes of the game, unfortunately none of them being able to be converted to the back of the the net. North West Rangers however didn’t waste any chance’s and there first and second shot found the back of the net. A shoulder barge from one of our defenders resulted in the opposition being awarded a penalty. The spot kick was taken and our goal keeper made a magnificent save which seemed to boost and drive the players determination even more and eventually got a goal back just before half time from the centre midfield (Bailey). In the second half Dragons again seemed determined to take home all three points however the NWR striker picked up the pace and placed the ball in the back of the net. This match was a great team effort that saw all 15 players get match time and eventually lead to a 2nd Dragons goal (Dean), but unfortunately there just wasn’t enough time left to get the equaliser and earn at least a well deserved point.
