As we hurtle towards 2026, and the second half of the season, we can be generally pleased – not ecstatic but certainly pleased. The statisticians will have computed that we tend to score more goals than our combined oppositions and win more games. As with life we too have our wobbles but interpret them as “character building” so we are in a win – win situation:
Results W/E 14th December 2025
The Firsts beat PFC Victoria 2-0 away. This was not the Dragons most fluid performance as they missed many opportunities to core but, importantly, chances missed meant chances created on the rebound. The clean sheet for the Dragons’ stockings was a well-deserved outcome.
The Blues beat Isleworth 10-1 at home. It would not be hyperbole to report that the Dragons were dominant and the result could have, and probably should have, resulted in a lot more Dragons goals.
The Old Dragonians beat CB Hounslow & Abbots 7-3 at home. A good win for the Old Ds which takes them to second in the table! The contest at the top is hot but if the Dragons keep up their form and desire, there is good reason to believe they’ll retain their spot.
The new U10 Boys drew 3-3 to SYS away. A huge well done to these young Dragons. They were outstanding and showed real character throughout – playing the entire game without substitutes to add to their Coaches’ elation. The Dragons were unlucky not to take the win, but they battled hard to earn a point in a thrilling draw.
The U11 Boys lost 1-6 to Kick Ups away. Not the result the Dragons wanted to end the year. It has been a good season so far and the Dragons go into the break knowing they have worked hard to get to where they are, with room for even more improvement in 2026.
The U12 Boys drew 3-3 to Spartans Youth away. With the appointed referee absent, a parent from Spartans stepped in to make his mark on the match. The Dragons had scored all three goals by half time with the Spartans being awarded a dubious penalty which they converted. The Dragons continued to press throughout the second half but were unable to add a fourth. A second questionable penalty saw Spartans equalise and the full-time whistle was called shortly after to end the match in a draw. Frustrating.
The U13 Boys beat Northwood Youth 2-1 at home. The Dragons showed real strength with only 10 available players. After going 2-0 up, they held on and ultimately put in a very impressive performance.
The U14 Boys Red beat Super Skills 10-0 at home. Put simply this was a really good result to end the year. A Job well done.
The U14 Boys White beat Pro FA 3-0 away. The Dragons put in a thoroughly professional performance to, not only finish 2025 with a win, but also to maintain their unbeaten away form. The Dragons controlled the game from start to finish and led 2-0 at the break. The second period – whilst only having one goal – saw the Dragons execute fantastic phases of play with the entire sideline lauding their performance.
The U15 Boys did not play.
The U16 Boys just lost to Acton Ealing Whistlers 3-5 away. The Dragons started with the disadvantage of having 10 players with the 11th finally turning up at the break. In the first half they played reasonably well, despite being a player down, and could have been ahead at half time. A mini wobble, possibly caused by a lack of substitutes to refresh the team, allowed AEW to pull ahead. On reflection this was not a bad performance – more of a frustrating one as it could have been a Dragons win under difficult circumstances. More resilience and determination are required.
The U17 Boys beat Ickenham 11-0 at home. The Dragons put in their best performance of the season. The whole team came racing out from the kick off with every individual performance at a high level combining as a unit. A massive win to round off 2025.
The U13 Girls just lost to Gunnersbury Eagles 3-4 at home. The defeat couldn’t overshadow a brilliant, high-energy performance from the Dragons in a thrilling game. With a full squad for the first time this season, the effort, teamwork, and spirit were outstanding. So many positives to take, and the players are buzzing for the rest of the season.
The U16 Girls lost at home to Broomwood. A day when the scoreline was no reflection on how the game went. The Dragons played hard and looked to end the year on a high, but instead will enter the break eager to set the record straight.
The U15 Girls had no game.
The new U11 Girls trained in preparation to start the League.
