| It’s been a busy week with the Holland Park Activity Day being a great success – we attracted the biggest crowds. The works continued at the Den despite the sometimes soaring heat.
Dragons Summer Soccer School: 10am to 1pm every day from Sunday 19 to Thursday 23 July at Kensington Memorial Park, W10 6BZ (also known as St Marks Park). This is aimed primarily at the now Under 9 to Under 11 girls and boys who would like to play in a team next season. Parents can register their son or daughter on the day.
Dragons Summer Book Tip: Inverting the Pyramid by Jonathan Wilson. This book is as much about the history of football as about exchanging knowledge generally. Wilson releases an updated version every few years to reflect recent changes in the way football is played, where the ideas came from and who are the pioneers. A curious Dragon would enjoy dipping into the book or reading it from cover to cover – the more Wilson one reads, the better one understands football! |
