Even now delicious delicacies are being individually curated for our Supporters’ Reception on 25th March where major updates will be announced:

The Firsts were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Pitshanger Dynamo. The uneven pitch did not help either team but the Dragons could have edged ahead to win.  On  the plus side the players showed great spirit – including those who were fasting.

The Blues beat Kodak 2-1 at home. The Blues proved that battling through tribulations leads to triumphs. The Dragons were trailing 0-1 at halftime but won a penalty in the second to equalise. Ten minutes from full time they hit the winner to claim their deserved three points.

The Old Dragonians lost away to Pro FA Hammersmith. The ODs were caught out in the Chiswick sunshine. Hammersmith had cunningly put benches by the touchline to entice the Dragons to relax in the sunshine – they were outfoxed by Hammersmith who burst onto the pitch with high intensity to go four up by half time. The Olds woke up after the break and at least were competitive but lost to the better team on the day.

The U12 Girls just lost 0-1 away to Wealdstone in the County Cup. The Dragons played outstanding football with their now signature passing patterns of play. A great game end to end with both teams, and particularly the defenders, stopping the strikers doing their role on the pitch. The game could have gone either way when in the last 12 minutes the Dragons scored an own goal when clearing the ball.

The U14 Girls had no game.

The U15 Girls beat Enfield Town 5-0 at home in the League Cup. Another great Cup win for the Dragons who worked hard in the first half to score and put the game in the balance at 1-0 by halftime. In the second half, the Dragons found another gear and put daylight between themselves and Enfield Town –  a team who have so often been a thorn in many Dragons’ sides.

The U17 Girls drew 1-1 away with Hearts of Teddlothian. With players unavailable the Dragons had fewer players than Teddlothian. And so this was going to be as tough as it gets. An injury to a KD player reduced their numbers even more and they soon fell behind to end the half 0-1 down. Some positional tweaks saw the Dragons come out fighting and they proceeded to dominate the second half, despite the numerical disadvantage. A glorious 30 yard strike midway through the half saw the Dragons equalise.

The new U11 Boys beat Headstone Manor 4-1 away. This was a great performance and result from the young Dragons that was long overdue. Patient build-up, third man runs and 1-2s aren’t often seen at U11 level but they were all on display from this Dragons outfit. A very polished performance all round.

The U12 Boys had no game.

The U13 Boys Red beat Northwood 7-2 away. The Dragons were clearly watching Arsenal midweek and emulated their scoring with seven of their own excellent goals. All of this after conceding early too. A great performance from the Dragons to react with such venom.

The U13 Boys White drew 2-2 with Singh Sabha away. The Dragons were out of the traps fast and deservedly took the lead after five minutes. They then dominated the remainder of the half despite not scoring again. A sluggish second half saw SS score a dubious goal on the hour mark then with 2 minutes left they regained the lead with a brilliant 30-yard free kick. As the clock entered the end of Fergie time the home side scored an equaliser with a header inside the 6-yard box. The draw felt like a defeat showing how far this team has come.

The U14 Boys drew 2-2 with Hanwell Town at home. The Dragons struggled to deliver one of their more regular performances in a game they know they should have won.

The U15 Boys lost 1-4 to LPOSSA at home. This was a frustrating match as the Dragons played reasonably well but conceded goals that could have been avoided. The joy, or problem, with football is that it only takes a second to score  – a lapse of concentration, or a silly mistake, leads to goals if the opposition take the opportunity -LPOOSA took theirs.

The U16 Boys drew 1-1 to Regents Park at home. The Dragons played an extremely tight game against Regents Park who are currently 2nd in the League. The Dragons took the initiative and went in at half time one goal up but despite constant pressure and chasing a second, they conceded one minute before the full-time whistle.

The U18 Boys lost 2-4 to Ickenham away in the group stage of the Trophy Cup. The Dragons had thought there would be time to regroup between their last league match and the start of their cup campaign but they were straight back into action with a very early start in the wilds of Uxbridge. The match was close until, in the heat towards the end, the Dragons faltered.

The U10 Boys trained in preparation for the League.
