This was a reasonable week with the Dragons scoring 43 goals against 19 from the combined oppositions.

The Firsts beat Kodak 4-0 at the Den. Hard work reaped its reward with an emphatic win despite the squad being depleted by injuries and absence. This was in essence a test of the Dragons depth.

The Blues beat CB Hounslow & Abbots 3-2 away. The Dragons were on top and pulled through to win despite falling into CBH&A style of play which gave them chances when they didn’t need to. The match was a much closer than it should have been.

The Old Dragonians just lost 4-6 at home to Racing Keeblers in Round 2 of the MCFA Sunday Junior Cup. A ten-goal thriller and it was just how the coin fell for the Old Ds who tried as they might to outscore RB.

The U17 Boys beat Pinnstars 8-2 away. You wait an age for a bus, then two come at once – a second win on the bounce for the Dragons and a very strong win at that. These young Dragons are starting to grow, but there will need to be more hard work, better communication and discipline for them to reach their potential.

The U16 Boys made hard work of beating AEW 5-1 at home. The Dragons fiddled around too much in the first half thinking they were in for an easy win. AEW on the other hand had made some new signings and were keen to turn their season around by beating the Dragons. Finally, the Dragons started playing faster, crisper football to come away with a win that looks better on paper than it appeared at the time.

The U15 Boys beat Bessingby Park Rangers 4-1 away. The Dragons started the game well, scored in the first 10 minutes and stayed ahead. It was a great performance even when BP put them under pressure.

The U14 Boys Red had no game.

The U14 Boys White lost 1-4 at home to Belmont Bees. The Dragons were missing players but those who did play can be very proud of their performance. The Dragons showed spirit and togetherness by playing any position needed and played with heart to fight through to the final whistle.

The U13 Boys beat Wealdstone 6-1 at home. The Dragons applied constant pressure on Wealdstone throughout the entire game with their top goal scorer adding another four goals to his already impressive season’s tally.

The U12 Boys were awarded an automatic away win as Brook House could not raise a side. Despite the easiest three points the Dragons’ may get all season it was disappointing to be told 49 mins before KO with the midday trek out to Hayes already completed by that point.

The U11 Boys beat LJJ Frontiers 3-1 at home. In a tight game that was only decided late on, the Dragons pulled through with an excellent performance from a stand-in goalkeeper and a brace from a debutant.

The new U10 Boys beat Pro FA 5-1 at home. The Dragons roared on to win 5-1 at home thanks to great teamwork and excellent ball movement that allowed them to move forward at speed and create chances – ultimately converted.

All Youth Girls teams did not play and rested whilst it was Half Term.
