The knurled veterans at the Senior end and the youthful Under10s at the other end topped and tailed a good week:

The Firsts beat Eagles Land Cricklewood 4-3 at home.  This was a hard fought and, in the end, well-deserved win for the Dragons against a top four team. The Dragons have games in hand to fuel their ambition. A towering header, a penalty and a wonder goal were all on display.

The Blues beat Feltham Town 3-2 at home.  This was a good performance from the Dragons who should have scored more goals. The Dragons’ performance was solid and, as in recent games, they were in control throughout.

The Old Dragonians just lost 0-1 at home to Whitton Wanderers in the Quarter Finals of the Division Four Challenge Cup. There was dismay from the Old Ds who have had one of their strongest seasons for a few years and were desperate for silverware – there is still the league.

The U17 Boys beat Pinnstars 5-2 at home. The Dragons needed a win to cement a second-place finish in the League – and a win they grasped with both hands. It has been a fantastic effort from all the Dragons from a rocky start to an incredibly strong finish.

The U16 Boys drew 2-2 with Headstone Manor at home. This was a much better performance from the Dragons. As in the previous week they hammered away at the opposition’s goal without scoring – but, unlike last week, they kept trying right until the final whistle.

The U15 Boys drew 2-2 at home to Harrow United. It was a great joy to see the Dragons play much better together as a team after a few suboptimal games. They started well and scored in the first 15 minutes but Harrow pushed hard. Although a defensive mistake aided the draw, it was a great performance as the season enters its business end.

The U14 Boys Red beat European Football Academy 1-0 away. This was a good game from the Dragons as they put in their best team performance of the season. A well-taken goal and a clean sheet make for a very mature looking scoreline.

The U14 Boys White were awarded an automatic home win as Hanwell Town could not raise a team.

The U13 Boys beat West Drayton 8-1 away. The Dragons continue their victorious run with dominant displays of pure footballing might – long may it continue.

The U12 Boys beat Parkfield 3-1 at home. Facing Parkfield, just one place below Dragons in the League, meant this was a vital fixture for both sides. The Dragons set the tone early, scoring within 90 seconds of kick-off to assert control. The Dragons held their nerve superbly, scoring again in the first half and dominating possession throughout. The second half followed a similar pattern, and despite a late Parkfield goal, the Dragons sealed the victory.

The U11 Boys lost 0-1 to Northfields United away. Northfields somehow managed to keep the rampant Dragons out. The Dragons were camped in Northfields’ half and probed and probed but in the end it was not to be.

The new U10 Boys won 6-1 away at Pro FA. The Dragons delivered an excellent all-round performance. They worked hard for each other, moved the ball well, and created lots of chances through strong passing and pressing. Defensively, the Dragons stayed organised and made important tackles and saves when needed. Overall, a fantastic team effort.

The U16 Girls and the U15 Girls both had their away games postponed due to unplayable pitches.

The U13 Girls were beaten at home by Hinton Revolution. The Dragons are to be congratulated for being promoted mid season but it does lead to playing tougher matches.  The Dragons spirit that runs through the squad kept them going to the end  and resulted in them scoring the final goal in the dying seconds of the game to deny Hinton a complete victory.

The new U11 Girls trained in preparation to start the League.
