The U13 A’s beat Springfield 9-1 in a strong end of season ‘finale’. The Dragons played a 4-1-3-2 formation and despite the obvious mathematical challenges brilliantly dominated to lead 4-1 at half time. The Dragons’ pressure resumed after the break to make it 9-1 at the end with the Dragon’s key strikers scoring 6 goals between them. Fans with an historical perspective will remember that this is the very same Dragons team that lost by a particularly embarrassing amount in their first season. A great tribute to a magnificent bunch of players and management team who have weathered the storm to come out triumphant.
